What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Pharmacy Tech - Full Time position at Syracuse Area Health?
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, this position will assist with the process of preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications as prescribed and ordered by a licensed provider and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Must promote teamwork and be a role model to others.
This position is a benefited full-time role, totaling 40 hours per week, schedule to be determined. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-6:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm.
Qualifications:- High School grad or equivalent
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and be a self-starter
- Proficient computer and cash register skills
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Previous Retail experience preferred
- Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy or obtained within first 30 days
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician preferred and/or required within 12 months of date of hire
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience, in a retail setting preferred
