About the Role:
As an Associate, you will support a wide range of healthcare regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters for providers, payors, and life sciences companies. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal work, advising on emerging healthcare issues, and helping clients manage risk while pursuing their business objectives. Working with experienced attorneys across the country, you will gain exposure to diverse matters and develop deep subject-matter expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on healthcare regulatory, compliance, reimbursement, and policy issues.
- Draft and review contracts, memoranda, policies, and other legal documents related to healthcare operations and transactions.
- Support senior attorneys in advising clients on federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and enforcement trends.
- Assist with due diligence and documentation for healthcare-related transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare client alerts, presentations, and internal resources on developments in healthcare law and policy.
- Participate in client meetings, conference calls, and strategy sessions to understand business objectives and provide practical legal input.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups and offices to address multi-jurisdictional and cross-disciplinary matters.
Key Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission, or eligibility for admission, to the Florida Bar.
- 2-5 years of legal experience, or a strong demonstrated interest, in healthcare law, health policy, or life sciences.
- Proven excellence in legal research, writing, and analytical reasoning.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align legal advice with client objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Proven effectiveness working both independently and within a team-based environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with healthcare regulatory frameworks such as fraud and abuse, privacy, or reimbursement.
- Exposure to healthcare transactions, managed care, or life sciences regulatory issues.
- Prior experience in a law firm, government agency, or in-house healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with national or state health policy developments and trends.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school (required).
- Admission to the Florida Bar, or eligibility and intent to obtain Florida Bar admission promptly (required).
- Additional coursework, internships, or certifications in healthcare law, health policy, or life sciences (preferred).
