Job Title: Fire Alarm Project Estimator / Design EngineerPosition Summary: A Fire Alarm Project Estimator/Designer/Engineer will estimate, design and engineer commercial electronic security solutions and fire alarm systems. They will also work collaboratively with technicians, project managers, sales, and other professionals to design and specify solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations. General Purpose: Technical support and project design engineeringRole qualifications: Successful candidates have excellent communication skills and demonstrate sharply focused execution to deliver a high-quality project with maximum efficiency. Position Responsibilities:· Work collaboratively with sales and project management to engineer and develop system designs, proposals, and estimates· Work collaboratively with the CAD department to ensure accurate and detailed drawings· Work collaboratively with the technical services group to ensure technical functionality of the proposed solution· Work with vendors and their technical support departments to design solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations· Achieve necessary certifications to design and engineer accurate solutions· Prioritize assigned tasks to meet workload demands effectively and efficientlyEssential skills and experience:· Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with electronic security and fire alarm systems – specifically Siemens or Autocall/Simplex· Ability to read/understand CAD Drawings· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Strong computer skills and software aptitude· Must be highly organized with demonstrated success managing multiple tasks· NICET certification Level 3Nonessential skills and experience: Additional computer skills such as CADReporting to this position: No direct reports Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
