What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Analyst position at Synergy Search?
PE-Backed, High-Growth Company | Nashville, TN | 3-4 Days In Office
About the Company
This is a fast-growing, PE-backed company managing a multi-brand portfolio in a specialized services industry. Founded in 2019, the company has scaled to approximately $300M in revenue through a high-volume acquisition strategy and is actively building out its corporate finance function to match that growth.
The Role
This is a Senior Financial Analyst position, with consideration for a Finance Manager title depending on candidate profile. It sits within corporate FP&A. This is not a traditional analyst seat. You will be one of the first true finance business partners on the corporate side, working directly with department heads across IT, marketing, and vendor management. You are not running models in the background. You are translating numbers into decisions.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a direct finance business partner to department heads across the organization
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reporting that drive real decisions
- Support an upcoming ERP implementation and help define how the finance function operates
- Work closely with the VP of Finance and CFO on strategic and operational priorities
- Develop visibility into higher-level reporting responsibilities over time
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance (Finance Manager title may be considered for stronger backgrounds)
- Advanced Excel required
- Business partner mindset: comfortable with non-finance leaders and able to communicate financial insights clearly
- Self-starter who thrives in a build-it-as-you-go environment
- Exposure to Sage, Power BI, or Velixo is a plus but not required
- Finance or Accounting degree
Why This Role
Most FP&A roles hand you a process and ask you to maintain it. This one doesn't have a process yet.
- One of the first true finance business partners on the corporate side -- real ownership from day one
- Direct visibility to department leadership from the start
- Hands-on involvement in an ERP implementation that will shape how finance operates
- CFO and VP of Finance have worked together for years -- high-trust, low-politics environment
- Clear growth path with higher-level responsibilities explicitly intended to expand over time
- PE-backed, high-growth environment where the problems are real and the work compounds fast
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
