Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

The Company
Our client is a family-owned, multi-site healthcare operator in an aggressive growth phase, expanding its clinic footprint across multiple states. This is not a PE-backed play with a short hold clock. It is a long-term ownership model building for durability.
The accounting function is being built from scratch. This is the first dedicated accounting hire.
The Role
Foundational accounting seat reporting directly to the Controller, with a clear line to the CFO and leadership team.
You will own financial reporting and accounting operations across every clinic location and stand up the controls, processes, and infrastructure the business does not yet have. As the footprint scales, this role is positioned to build and lead a team.
Expect hands-on execution paired with process design. Acquisition integration is a core part of the job.
What You'll Own
- Financial statements and reporting across all clinic locations
- Month-end close and account reconciliations
- Revenue billing and the full AR process, alongside the revenue cycle lead
- Revenue cycle oversight from patient encounter through payment
- Budgeting support and budget vs actual variance review
- CAPEX tracking
- Accounting due diligence and integration for clinic acquisitions
- Building and documenting healthcare accounting processes and internal controls
- Audit support
Profile
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Business
- 5 years in healthcare accounting
- 3 years in a multi-site healthcare environment (non-negotiable)
- Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and AR/billing depth
- Familiarity with EMR/clinical systems and acquisition integration
- Self-starter comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from zero
This is a build role. Backgrounds from large, siloed finance teams where someone owned one narrow function will struggle here. They want someone who creates structure where none exists.
Comp
- $110K to $145K base depending on experience
- 10% to 15% bonus target
