Accounting Manager

A private equity–backed organization in the healthcare services sector is seeking an Accounting Manager to help lead its centralized accounting operations. This position offers a rare blend of hands-on leadership, exposure to complex consolidations, and collaboration with senior executives in a fast-scaling environment.

About the Role

As Accounting Manager, you’ll oversee a team of three Senior Accountants responsible for regional financials, consolidations, and general ledger operations. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive integration, automation, and process improvement initiatives as the company continues its growth and centralization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and consolidation activities across multiple entities
• Supervise and develop a team of Senior Accountants supporting regional operations
• Collaborate with leadership on purchase accounting and post-acquisition integrations
• Ensure accuracy in corporate and consolidated financial reporting
• Identify and execute process improvement and automation initiatives
• Partner with Finance and Operations to strengthen internal controls and efficiency

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
• Strong understanding of consolidations and multi-entity accounting
• Background in healthcare, multi-location, or PE-backed environments preferred
• CPA strongly preferred (or CPA-eligible)
• Skilled in identifying and leading process improvements
• Hands-on, adaptable, and collaborative leadership style
