What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Synergy Search?
A well-established professional services company with nearly (100 employees and been in business for over 30 years) is hiring a Controller to step into a high-visibility role with a direct path to Director of Finance and CFO level responsibility over time. This will be a hands on roll up your sleeves role supervising 1 individual.
What You'll Own
- Full-cycle accounting: AP, AR, GL, payroll, monthly financials
- Proactive AR management and client collections
- 401(k)/benefits administration and wire transfers for closings
- Lead an upcoming billing software evaluation and migration
- Oversee a remote Billing Clerk
What We're Looking For
- Full-cycle accounting background with strong AR/collections skills
- Professional services experience preferred (Engineering, accounting, consulting, legal)
- Comfortable holding professionals accountable on billing
- Process-builder — you bring ideas, you don't wait to be asked
- Tech-savvy; experience with billing/accounting system implementations a plus
