A well-established healthcare institution in Nashville, TN is looking for a Corporate Controller to help lead a financial turnaround. This is a mission-driven organization with a large operating budget that has recently stabilized its executive leadership and is actively rebuilding its finance function from the ground up.

This is a true build role. You won't be maintaining a polished department. You'll be creating process, installing controls, and elevating a team that's ready for stronger leadership. The Controller partners directly with the CFO, presents at monthly board meetings, and has real visibility into decisions shaping the organization's future.

What you'll own:

• Full oversight of the accounting function, including a team spanning AP, general ledger, and cost accounting
• Leading the organization through its current external audit
• Building a disciplined, documented month-end close process
• Improving AR reserve and reporting accuracy
• Getting hands-on with ERP system capabilities that haven't been fully leveraged
• Using workforce and cost data to help operating leaders make better decisions
• Taking on expanded revenue cycle oversight responsibilities

What we're looking for:

• Active CPA required
• Controller-level experience, or very close to it, with strong technical accounting skills
• Comfortable being hands-on with GL entries, close processes, and AR aging, not just reviewing from the top
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Public accounting background earlier in your career is a big plus
• Experience managing across multiple departments or entities
• Someone who wants to grow. There's a real path to CFO for the right person
