Senior Application Support Analyst

TITLE: Senior Application Support Analyst

LOCATION: Birmingham, AL

ANTICIPATED DURATION: Contract to Perm

Responsibilities:

• Support vendor applications, software development, and technical expertise for Financial and Contract Services, Fuel Services, and Gas Operations.
• Work as part of a product-focused team providing technical support for various applications, including vendor, desktop, web applications, and services.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify and implement technical solutions.
• Support coal logistics and fuel accounting systems such as Comtrac, Windows server and application support, and operational data integrations related to coal inventory, transportation, and settlement processes.
• Support gas operations applications like Gas Measurement Data Collection and other Financial and Contract Services IT applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Experience supporting, implementing, testing, and integrating applications (desktop, web applications, and web services).
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle).
• Knowledge of supporting enterprise-level vendor business solutions is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting application software solutions on client and Windows Server operating systems.
• Experience with scripting such as PowerShell or SQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of source control, continuous integration, and deployment tools like Git or TeamCity is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and support full life-cycle development of enterprise solutions.

Preferred Experience:

• Supporting accounting and/or financial systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with full software development lifecycle best practices, including design patterns and test-driven development.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and new technologies.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $55.00 to $68.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
