Computer Aided Design Designer

Title: CAD Designer

Location: Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA

Duration: 6 Months

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer II to enhance our engineering team, supporting innovative product development in a collaborative and fast-paced setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects at leading tech hubs located in Cupertino, CA, or Austin, TX, with a hybrid work model.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with NX and TeamCenter software.
• Strong knowledge of intermediate-level modeling techniques, including associative CAD modeling, parent/child relationships in NX, reference sets, layers, and 2D creation.
• Solid understanding of assembly fundamentals such as local versus global coordinates, assembly constraints, exploded views, and BOM component management.
• Surfacing experience is a plus.
• Excellent proactive communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Additional expertise in advanced surfacing or complex assemblies.
• Experience troubleshooting or optimizing CAD workflows.
• Familiarity with additional CAD tools or simulation software.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional CAD experience, specifically with NX and TeamCenter.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Location flexibility for candidates in Cupertino, CA, or Austin, TX with a hybrid work setup.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $35.00 to $60.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
