Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining infrastructure systems while adhering to standards. The incumbent will have in-depth knowledge of servers, storage, and networking with a high attention to detail. Will work on complex projects independently and relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals set forth by the Team Lead Infrastructure Support and the AVP of CIS.
Essential Functions
· Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and assisting with the implementation of the Enterprise server, storage, and networking. (R)
· Adhere to standard practices set forth by the Team Lead Infrastructure Support and Assistant Vice President - Corporate Information Systems (A)
· Provision Enterprise resources for other technology areas as prescribed by the Team Lead Infrastructure Support and the AVP of CIS. (R)
· Provide email, telephone, and in-person support to all departments as determined by the Team Lead Infrastructure Support and Assistant Vice President - Corporate Information Systems. (R)
· Responsible for network data backup and recovery. This includes data replication, maintenance, and disaster recovery procedures. (R)
· This role requires after hours on-call support as scheduled by the Team Lead Infrastructure Support (R)
Required Skills & Knowledge
· At least 4 years of combined education and experience in administering a complex data center environment.
· Well versed in data center virtualization technologies.
· Working knowledge of data center design standards.
· Basic understanding of network switching, routing, and firewalls.
· Configuration and maintenance skills with a variety of server hardware.
· Understanding of Enterprise-grade storage systems.
· Adept with Operating systems and administering a Microsoft Active Directory Environment.
· Proficiency with standard Computer programs and functions.
· Excellent communication skills to convey information effectively and efficiently.
· High level of organizational skills necessary for prioritizing and managing varying responsibilities and workloads.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a challenging and diverse environment.
· Ability to adapt to changes and adjust priorities with little notice.
· Ability to learn new concepts and skills to continually expand knowledge base and advance with industry changes.
· Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems by generating, evaluating, and implementing solutions.
