What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Technician position at Synerfac Technical Staffing?
Install, set up, and operate temperature controllers, VFDs, and other control instrumentation for testing purposes.
Troubleshoot electrical, PLC-based control systems, and HVAC systems to ensure all equipment meets performance specifications.
Complete basic plumbing operations related to equipment testing.
Prepare layouts and conduct temperature and airflow uniformity studies.
Coordinate and participate in testing, connecting mechanical and electrical controls, cabling, tubing, and instrumentation as needed.
Record test data electronically, ensuring detailed and accurate documentation and applying statistical quality control procedures.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment that does not function according to specifications prior to shipment.
Collaborate with engineering and other departments regarding issues or trends identified during testing.
Debug HMI controls and validate system accuracy and functionality.
Interact professionally with customers when required.
requirements:
Six months to one year of experience in a related field preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical manuals.
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, VFDs, and process control systems.
Universal Refrigeration certification and/or Electrical certificate/training, especially with high voltage power, may be required.
Proficient with digital tools for data entry, MS Office, and familiarity with manufacturing or testing software.
Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
Forklift or scissor lift experience, or willingness to obtain license, preferred.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and occasionally interact with customers.
Proficient with multi-meters, amp probes, and other diagnostic tools.
Comfortable recommending process improvements or modifications to products.
