Work for our Long Island based client (Suffolk County) that specializes in repair, manufacturing & custom engineering to the aerospace industry Summary- Shipping and Receiving Manager Job Duties: -Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, including verifying and documenting incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, and coordinating truck loading and unloading. -Lead and support a team of 2-4 Shipping & Receiving associates to ensure departmental goals and performance targets are consistently met. -Maintain and audit the stockroom to support FAA-145 repair station activities, including system updates and periodic inventory checks. -Manage shop inventory and work orders using the Quantum Control ERP system. -Collaborate with management and IT to refine workflow policies and procedures, leveraging advanced knowledge of Quantum Control to improve stock and shop operations. -Perform and oversee production support tasks aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency. -Report directly to the Quality Manager and ensure adherence to all requirements related to Shipping & Receiving and stockroom functions. -Work closely with shop personnel and the purchasing team to provide timely support for all operational needs and order processing. -Partner proactively with purchasing to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize production delays. -Oversee the shelf-life program by ensuring all shelf-life materials are accurately logged, labeled, tracked, and disposed of according to policy. -Manage all incoming and outgoing orders-including purchase, repair, work, and sales orders-and maintain accurate records of rotatable components in the inventory system. -Coordinate with shop and purchasing teams to process LRU part-outs and induct parts into Quantum. -Maintain and update parts lists on ILS through Quantum and directly, and process all shipments as required. -Ensure the Shipping & Receiving areas, as well as company storage and stock locations, remain clean, organized, and well-maintained; participate in all related upkeep as necessary. Requirements: -Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English. -Interested individuals must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized. -Experience using a computer. -Punctual and reliable. -Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, as well as a basic background check -3 years of experience in shipping/receiving or logistics management, preferably in an aviation or regulated industry. -Familiarity with FAA-145 repair station operations and aviation part handling requirements (or similar heavily regulated industry) is required -Strong time management, independent thinking, and ability to meet deadlines are essential -Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities -Must have a valid driver"s license -Software experience - MSFT Office proficiency, especially with Excel or SharePoint and Teams -Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software is required and experience in Quantum or similar ERP system is a plus. -Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs without difficulty -Bachelor"s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.Compensation/Benefits -Hourly position commensurate with experience and skill level and/or certifications.
