Fire Sprinkler Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking a multi-talented Fire Protection Designer & Inspector for a full-time, on-site role in Richardson, TX. This position combines technical design expertise, field inspection capabilities, and client-facing project estimating to support our full life-cycle fire sprinkler operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering: Prepare precise fire sprinkler layouts, hydraulic calculations, and CAD drawings while ensuring strict compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and project specifications.

• Inspections & Field Testing: Perform scheduled fire sprinkler system inspections and testing (RME-I), document findings, generate code-compliant reports, and recommend corrective actions.

• Estimating & Sales Support: Develop project proposals, estimate costs, manage client relationships, follow up on leads, and coordinate with internal teams for smooth project execution.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with operations, project managers, service teams, and field installation crews to ensure high quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensing: Active RME-I license required.

• Design Experience: Proven track record reading construction documents, preparing system layouts, and running hydraulic calculations.

• Code Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with NFPA standards, local fire/building codes, and industry regulations.

• Field & Inspection Background: Hands-on experience inspecting and testing fire sprinkler systems, identifying deficiencies, and drafting accurate reports.

• Estimating & Communication Skills: Demonstrated success in project estimating, proposal creation, account management, and clear communication with clients and authorities.

• Software Proficiency: Competency in CAD design tools, Microsoft Office, and project management applications.

• Travel: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to job sites and client locations.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
