What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager / Estimator position at Synectics Inc.?
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate estimates.
- Perform material take-offs and obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and project specifications.
- Track project costs, manage change orders, and provide regular project status updates.
- Support project submittals, RFIs, purchasing, and invoicing activities.
- Attend project meetings and act as the primary liaison between all project stakeholders.
- Assist with labor planning and provide guidance to field supervisors and foremen.
- 7 years of experience in electrical construction, project management, and/or estimating.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems and NEC requirements.
- Experience with estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction-related software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and electrical calculations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
