Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lien Specialist with personal injury law experience to manage medical liens, negotiate reductions, and coordinate lien resolutions for settlements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify, verify, track, and resolve liens associated with personal injury settlements.
- Communicate and negotiate with lienholders to secure reductions and maximize clients' net recoveries.
- Handle Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, private health insurance, hospital, and other medical reimbursement claims.
- Request and review lien statements, payment histories, and final lien amounts.
- Coordinate with attorneys and settlement teams to ensure timely disbursement of settlement funds, maintain accurate lien records, and monitor outstanding requests.
Qualifications
- Prior experience handling liens within a personal injury law firm or lien resolution company is required.
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and private health insurance liens.
- Experience negotiating lien reductions and coordinating lien resolutions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
