Duties
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments, including specialized testing for pediatric and adult patients to diagnose hearing loss and balance issues.
- Manage patient cases from initial consultation through follow-up, providing tailored treatment plans and hearing solutions.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document patient histories, test results, and treatment progress accurately and efficiently.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations related to otolaryngology (ear, nose, throat) conditions, ensuring precise identification of underlying issues.
- Educate patients and their families about hearing health, treatment options, and device maintenance to promote informed decision-making.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and adhere to healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize clinical outcomes.
- Proven experience in clinical audiology or hearing instrument sales within a healthcare setting, with a focus on pediatrics preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy related to the auditory system, and medical terminology relevant to audiology and otolaryngology.
- Demonstrated proficiency with patient management software, Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel), and computer skills essential for documentation and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple patient appointments efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Exceptional communication skills for effectively interacting with diverse patient populations, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
