Litigation Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with 10 years of litigation experience to join a dynamic and growing litigation practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney capable of managing complex litigation matters from inception through trial, mentoring junior attorneys, and providing exceptional client service. Experience in bankruptcy litigation is a plus, and a portable book of business is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil litigation, including case assessment, strategy development, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial, and appeal.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.
• Handle litigation matters involving commercial disputes, contract claims, real estate litigation, tort actions, and other complex civil matters.
• Oversee discovery processes, including document review, interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
• Advise clients regarding legal rights, litigation risks, case strategy, and potential outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and resolutions when appropriate.
• Prepare clients, witnesses, and experts for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Maintain compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and case management obligations.
• Mentor, train, and support junior attorneys within the litigation team.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
• Minimum 10 years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong experience managing complex litigation matters independently.
• Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple active matters and meet litigation deadlines.
• Strong client relationship and business development skills.
• Bankruptcy litigation experience preferred.
• Appellate or Federal Court clerkship experience preferred.
• Portable book of business preferred.
