Associate Attorney

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to assist in a variety of legal matters, including research, drafting legal documents, and negotiating on behalf of clients. This role primarily focuses on litigation, with an emphasis on property and business litigation. Duties

• Conduct legal research related to property and business law
• Draft discovery requests and responses, pleadings, and motions
• Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel or parties
• Assist in representing clients in court proceedings
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters
• Stay current on changes in relevant laws and litigation procedures (including Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code)
• Manage case files and maintain accurate records
• Bill approximately 7 hours per day
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the Texas Bar and in good standing, or pending admission for new graduates/Texas Bar applicants
• Litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Effective negotiation skills and clear, persuasive communication abilities
