Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices

• Match invoices with subcontracts in Sage software

• Electronic filing

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

• Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries

• Assist with sales tax/IDA reporting

• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (Bachelor's degree preferred)

• 1-3 years of accounts payable experience

• Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred

• Sales Tax/IDA reporting experience preferred but not required

• Experience with Sage 100 contractor accounting software preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
