Our challenge

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (Sr. DBA) with strong expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake Administration, and Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing enterprise database platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and data integrity. This role requires hands-on production support experience, automation skills, and the ability to work across cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise database platforms across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Snowflake.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain database environments in production, UAT, and development.
• Administer and support Snowflake, including virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, users, RBAC, resource monitors, cloning, Time Travel, Fail-safe, data sharing, and performance optimization.
• Administer Unix/Linux servers supporting database environments, including shell scripting, process management, file systems, storage, permissions, and performance troubleshooting.
• Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using clustering, replication, Always On Availability Groups, Data Guard, PostgreSQL Streaming Replication, and Cassandra replication.
• Perform database backup, recovery, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
• Monitor and optimize database performance by analyzing execution plans, indexing strategies, query tuning, partitioning, and resource utilization.
• Automate routine DBA activities using Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Manage database security, encryption, auditing, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Support cloud database platforms including AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud, and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, and security teams during deployments and migrations.
• Perform capacity planning, database health checks, patch management, and version upgrades.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent solutions.
• Maintain documentation, operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Participate in on-call production support for mission-critical database environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of enterprise Database Administration experience.
• Strong experience administering:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Oracle Database
• PostgreSQL
• Cassandra or other NoSQL databases
• Snowflake Administration
• Strong Unix/Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, AIX, or Solaris).
• Database architecture
• High Availability (HA)

• Experience with:
• Replication

• Strong scripting experience using:
• Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn)

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and database troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with ITIL processes, incident management, and change management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
