Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jacksonville FL is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
Role Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing enterprise database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and data integrity.
Lead backup/recovery, capacity planning, performance tuning, automation while supporting critical production environments.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience administering and supporting enterprise databases including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL platforms like Cassandra. SnowFlake Administration.
Solid understanding of database architecture, high availability, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and security best practices.
Experience in Linux/Windows environments with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Shell, Python).
Knowledge of replication, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies across relational and NoSQL databases.
Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and collaborate with application and infrastructure teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-managed databases
Hands-on exposure to distributed database deployments
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for databases (Splunk, Foglight, OEM, PRTG etc.).
Prior experience leading projects, mentoring DBAs, or supporting large-scale, mission-critical systems.
