Our challenge:

Synechron is seeking an experienced HyperExecute Automation Engineer to design, configure, and optimize scalable test execution frameworks using LambdaTest HyperExecute. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HyperExecute YAML configuration and orchestration, parallel and sharded test execution, Selenium or Playwright grid tuning, and test artefact and Result Logger integrations.

The role involves collaborating with QA, development, DevOps, and product teams to improve test execution speed, reliability, reporting, and overall automation efficiency.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain HyperExecute YAML configurations for automated test execution.
• Create reusable orchestration workflows for multi-suite, multi-browser, and multi-environment testing.
• Configure and optimize parallel and sharded test execution to reduce test cycle duration.
• Tune Selenium and Playwright grids for scalability, reliability, resource utilization, and execution stability.
• Manage browser, platform, and device combinations across distributed test environments.
• Integrate test execution with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Configure test artefact collection, including:Screenshots
• Videos
• Logs
• Network traces
• HTML reports
• Failure diagnostics
• Implement and maintain Result Logger integrations for centralized test reporting and result analysis.
• Troubleshoot failed, flaky, timed-out, or incorrectly distributed test executions.
• Establish retry, timeout, concurrency, dependency, and failure-handling strategies.
• Monitor execution performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Work with automation teams to ensure tests are compatible with distributed and parallel execution.
• Develop documentation, standards, and best practices for HyperExecute adoption.
• Support release testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and continuous testing initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define automation execution strategies and quality gates.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or QA engineering.

Hands-on experience with LambdaTest HyperExecute.

Strong knowledge of HyperExecute YAML syntax, configuration, and orchestration.

• Practical experience implementing:Parallel execution
• Test sharding
• Distributed execution
• Cross-browser testing
• Multi-environment execution

Strong experience with Selenium Grid and/or Playwright.

Knowledge of grid configuration, browser session management, node allocation, and concurrency tuning.

• Experience integrating test frameworks such as:Selenium
• Playwright
• TestNG
• JUnit
• Cucumber
• PyTest

Experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline integration.

Knowledge of test artefact management and automated reporting.

Hands-on experience with Result Logger or equivalent test result reporting integrations.

• Strong scripting or programming skills in one or more of the following:Java
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Python

Good understanding of Git, REST APIs, JSON, YAML, and basic Linux commands.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud-based test execution platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized test infrastructure.
• Familiarity with test observability and execution analytics.
• Experience integrating automation results with Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
