Our challenge
We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and good functional understanding of other SAP modules. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in gathering business requirements, designing MDG solutions, supporting data governance processes, and collaborating with business and technical teams for successful implementation and support.
Experience in other SAP functional modules such as MM, SD, FICO, PP, WM/EWM, or S/4HANA business processes will be preferred.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand master data governance requirements.
- Analyze, design, and implement functional solutions in SAP MDG.
- Configure and support MDG data models, workflows, validations, derivations, BRF , and business rules.
- Support master data domains such as Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance, and other relevant objects.
- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for development and enhancements.
- Participate in requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Ensure data quality, data consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams to integrate MDG with other SAP modules.
- Provide end-user training, documentation, and support for business process improvements.
Requirements:
- Strong functional experience in SAP MDG implementation and support.
- Good understanding of master data processes, governance workflows, and data quality concepts.
- Hands-on experience with MDG configuration, business rules, and workflow design.
- Experience in preparing functional design documents, test cases, and user training materials.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with business users and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Preferred, but not required:
- Knowledge of integration points between SAP MDG and other SAP modules.
- Relevant SAP certification in SAP MDG or functional modules is a plus.
- Experience in data migration, data cleansing, and governance frameworks.
- Exposure to MDG on S/4HANA is an added advantage
