Our challenge
The Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) – GenAI / Full Stack will lead the end-to-end deployment, integration, and scaling of modern GenAI tools across enterprise engineering teams. This role combines hands-on full-stack engineering, developer enablement, enterprise rollout strategy, and operational optimization to accelerate software delivery and improve the overall product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in GenAI tools such as Devin, Claude Code, and Cursor, along with strong full-stack engineering capabilities and experience integrating advanced developer tooling into enterprise SDLC ecosystems.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $140k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy GenAI-powered engineering solutions using Devin, Claude Code, and Cursor
- Integrate GenAI tools into enterprise SDLC systems, developer platforms, and engineering workflows
- Collaborate with LOB teams and stakeholders to accelerate product delivery and improve engineering effectiveness
- Drive tool adoption, developer enablement, and standardization of best practices
- Optimize the performance, reliability, and efficiency of deployed GenAI solutions
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, enhancements, and operational improvements
- Successful deployment and scaling of GenAI tools across engineering teams in a structured and measurable manner
- Demonstrable improvement in development, testing, debugging, and remediation cycles
- Increased developer productivity, workflow automation, and engineering efficiency
- Standardized, reusable, and widely adopted GenAI playbooks, onboarding models, and best practices
- Ongoing tracking and reporting of adoption metrics, performance trends, and business value realization
- Secure, stable, and governed integration of GenAI tools into enterprise technology ecosystems
- Timely identification and resolution of adoption challenges, workflow friction points, and performance inefficiencies
Requirements:
- Lead the end-to-end rollout and scaling of GenAI tools such as Devin, Claude Code, and Cursor across CDXO and LOB engineering teams
- Act as a hands-on full-stack engineer, building, customizing, and integrating GenAI-powered solutions into enterprise SDLC workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, repositories, APIs, and internal platforms
- Define and execute enterprise-wide rollout strategies, including phased onboarding, deployment plans, support models, and scaling frameworks
- Partner closely with LOB teams, engineering leaders, and platform teams to improve the product delivery lifecycle through effective GenAI adoption
- Conduct developer onboarding, training, and enablement sessions to drive usage, improve proficiency, and promote best practices in prompt engineering and workflow integration
- Monitor tool adoption, usage metrics, productivity gains, and performance outcomes, ensuring continuous optimization and measurable value realization
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting, performance tuning, and scaling support for GenAI tools and integrated workflows
- Establish reusable playbooks, standards, and best practices for sustainable and enterprise-wide GenAI adoption
- Ensure all implementations align with enterprise governance, security, risk, and compliance frameworks
- Identify adoption gaps, technical bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies, and proactively drive improvements in scalability, efficiency, and user experience
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with technologies such as: Java, Python, React / Angular, TypeScript
- Experience building and supporting distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, developer platforms, and software engineering tooling
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience integrating modern developer tools into enterprise software delivery workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly with cross-functional teams in complex enterprise environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business impact.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience driving enterprise adoption of GenAI-enabled developer workflows
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI orchestration patterns, and developer productivity measurement
- Experience supporting platform modernization and large-scale transformation initiatives
- Understanding of enterprise governance, security, and compliance considerations for AI-enabled tooling
- Background in developer enablement, field engineering, solutions architecture, or forward deployment roles
