We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer with expertise in Calypso to join our dynamic team in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will possess extensive Java development experience, along with hands-on expertise with the Calypso platform, including deployment, configuration, and integration. Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $95k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient microservices using Spring Boot.
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs and integrations for enterprise applications.
- Optimize data models and queries working with both SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
- Develop event-driven solutions utilizing Kafka, ensuring reliable message processing and stream handling.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues in both production and development environments.
- Participate in code reviews, uphold best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of Java applications.
Requirements:
- Experienced in Java development with deep expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
- Proficient with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Seasoned in implementing and managing Kafka messaging systems.
- Hands-on with the Calypso platform, including deployment, configuration, and integration.
- Well-versed in RESTful API design and development.
- Familiar with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledgeable of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
Preferred, but not required:
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with other messaging systems or event streaming platforms.
