Our challenge
We are looking for an experienced ETL Informatica Developer to design, develop, and maintain efficient data integration solutions using Informatica PowerCenter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing ETL workflows to support business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA/ Dallas, TX is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter
- Extract data from multiple source systems including databases, flat files, and cloud services
- Transform and cleanse data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Load processed data into data warehouses, data marts, or other target systems
- Optimize ETL processes for performance and reliability
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL job failures and performance issues
- Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements
- Maintain detailed documentation of data mappings, workflows, and processes
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security policies, and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux scripting is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred, but not required:
- Knowledge of cloud data integration tools like Informatica Cloud, AWS Glue, or Azure Data Factory
- Experience with performance tuning and job optimization
- Understanding of data governance and compliance standards
