Roles and Responsibilities:
- Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
- Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, develop
- Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system
- Basic performance tuning (partitioning awareness, caching, pushdown concepts) Databases & SQL
- Core Informatica Skills
- Experience with relational databases such as: Oracle and Teradata
- Experience with source-to-target mappings
- Informatica PowerCenter (Development & Debugging): Mappings, Mapplets, Sessions, and Workflow & Reusable transformations and parameterized workflows
- Knowledge of Informatica Repository and metadata management
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts (Extract, Transform, Load)
- Strong working knowledge of SQL: Joins, subqueries, aggregations, data validation, and reconciliation queries
