IT Applications Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Project Manager to lead and manage multiple end-to-end software development and IT application projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project governance, stakeholder communication, documentation management, process improvement, and successful project delivery across cross-functional teams.

This role requires a highly organized and proactive Project Manager with experience managing large-scale IT initiatives utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. The successful candidate must be capable of driving projects with minimal oversight while ensuring timelines, deliverables, risks, and compliance requirements are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Lead multiple concurrent software development and IT application projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, roadmaps, timelines, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Provide regular project status reporting and executive-level updates.

Agile & Waterfall Execution

• Manage project tracking and governance using a structured Waterfall framework while supporting Agile teams utilizing Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, status reviews, and project ceremonies.
• Maintain project boards, dashboards, and reporting metrics using project management tools.
• Ensure project activities remain aligned with established governance processes.

Contract & Compliance Management

• Review and interpret contractual documentation to identify project scope, deliverables, milestones, and compliance requirements.
• Translate contractual obligations into actionable project plans and execution strategies.
• Ensure project teams remain aligned with contractual and organizational expectations.

Communication & Documentation

• Create project charters, kick-off presentations, stakeholder communications, and project documentation.
• Generate meeting notes, action items, and follow-up communications.
• Draft process documentation, procedures, and user guides.
• Maintain and archive project documentation, decisions, and communication records.

Risk & Process Improvement

• Identify project risks, constraints, dependencies, and process inefficiencies.
• Escalate issues appropriately and drive risk mitigation efforts.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery effectiveness.
• Reinforce project governance standards, policies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of Project Management experience supporting software development and IT application projects.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong experience with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project or Project Online.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience reviewing contracts and translating requirements into project plans.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent Project Management certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level IT application projects.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, and project performance metrics.
