Position Summary

The primary function of a Material Handler is to assist in the daily operation of the warehouse as needed.

This position will work at our Brooks Warehouse at 18 Van Veghten Drive, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately transfers and moves materials in a timely manner.
• Responsible for retrieving and staging materials for shipping.
• Inspects all labels and documentation for accuracy.
• Stores material and record transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains a safe working environment.
• Ensures that GMP, housekeeping and safety practices are being followed.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the warehouse (cleaning floors, equipment, and racks as appropriate).
• Responsible for reporting any safety issues to supervisor.
• Works closely with the supervisor on prioritizing tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent level of education is required.
• 2 - 3 years of previous warehouse experience is required.
• Experience with scanning devices is required (ie. RF scanner, etc.).
• Must have experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift / maneuver up to 66 lbs. of heavy materials on a regular basis is required.
• Must be proficient in the English language.
• Self-motivated individual willing to perform hard work.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must always be safety-minded.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Experience operating a reach truck is highly desired.
