Position Summary
Symbiotic Services is seeking a detail-oriented Specialty CAD Technician to join a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate CAD drawings, developing markers and patterns, and optimizing fabric utilization while supporting production quality and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create precise technical drawings using CAD software.
- Interpret sketches, diagrams, and verbal instructions to produce accurate CAD drawings.
- Develop and maintain high-quality markers and pattern layouts.
- Verify the accuracy of geometric shapes and part details within the CAD system.
- Lay out patterns and markers using company standards to maximize fabric utilization.
- Print full-size patterns using an Okidata printer.
- Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the drafting process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience using CAD software is required, including Formaris and Diamino.
- Experience with LECTRA software is a plus.
- Hand cutting experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to measure and identify fabric repeats.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work full-time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
