Job Summary
The Wellness Services Assistant Manager supports the coordination and delivery of wellness services within a nonprofit organization dedicated to individuals experiencing homelessness. This role helps lead a multidisciplinary team of case managers, peer specialists, and counselors to ensure trauma-informed, holistic care is provided. The Assistant Manager aids in implementing programs that promote physical, emotional, and mental health, working under the supervision of the Director of Wellness Services.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Support supervision of wellness services staff, ensuring productivity and quality care.
• Assist in coordinating training, scheduling, and team communication.
• Ensure documentation and reporting compliance.
• Help manage staff performance and support professional development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support implementation of wellness and case management programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Assist with tracking outcomes and supporting service improvement efforts.
• Promote integrated care and help coordinate cross-functional efforts.
• Engage community partners and help connect clients to external resources.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with documentation and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in wellness or case management services preferred.
• Prior experience supervising or leading teams is preferred.
• Experience working with unhoused or vulnerable populations strongly preferred.
• Valid CA driver’s license and background clearance required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
• Experience working with unhoused or vulnerable populations strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in a transitional housing environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and wraparound services.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (Google Workspace preferred).
