Symba Center Driver – Commercial
Wage Range: $21.50 – $25.00 per hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Wellness Services Manager
Location: Symba Center – Victorville, CA

Position Summary
The Symba Center Commercial Driver plays a critical role in transporting larger loads, materials, and passengers across Symba Center programs using commercial vehicles. This position requires a CDL and compliance with DOT and public health safety guidelines. The driver is also expected to assist with logistics, route planning, and supporting outreach and operations teams when not in transit.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles for guest transport, bulk deliveries, and special events.
- Maintain compliance with commercial driving regulations and vehicle safety checks.
- Coordinate transportation routes and respond to special service requests.
- Load/unload supplies and food items; assist physically and mentally disabled guests.
- Support shelter or outreach teams with daily program needs when off-route.
- Maintain vehicle logs, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and submit fuel/maintenance records.
Qualifications
- Valid CA Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record and experience with passenger or cargo transport.
- Ability to handle sensitive interactions with empathy and professionalism.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties in variable conditions.
- Must pass drug screen, TB test, and background check.
