Job Summary
The Wellness Services Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of wellness services within a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team of case managers/housing navigators, peer support specialists, substance use disorder counselors, and behavioral therapists as necessary to ensure clients receive holistic, trauma-informed care that addresses both immediate needs and long-term stability. The Wellness Services Manager will integrate wellness programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional health while overseeing program development, staff supervision, and collaboration with community partners. This position is essential for placing wellness at the core of the organization's approach, focusing on improving housing outcomes and enhancing the overall quality of life for clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following and other duties as assigned:
• Provide leadership and supervision to assigned wellness services staff, including scheduling, coaching, performance oversight, and ensuring accurate completion of timekeeping and administrative requirements.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate wellness programs and service offerings to ensure alignment with organizational goals, trauma-informed care principles, and the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Integrate wellness, case management, and housing navigation functions to ensure clients receive coordinated, comprehensive, and client-centered support that promotes stability and well-being.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across internal teams, community providers, and campus or program partners to support seamless service delivery and expand resource access. This includes participation in assigned CARE, BIT, or campus partnership meetings.
• Monitor program outcomes, performance metrics, and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of reports for contracts, grants, and organizational leadership.
• Lead the design, facilitation, and continuous improvement of wellness initiatives, groups, events, and individualized service activities by gathering feedback, conducting research, and incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Manage program resources and support budgeting processes, ensuring effective and ethical stewardship of organizational funds and identifying opportunities to strengthen service capacity.
• Coordinate holistic, student-centered or client-centered services when assigned to campus-aligned programs, ensuring access to behavioral health supports, case management, and wellness resources.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
This position requires the following education and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, public health, human services, or related field required. Master’s degree in the same preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in program management, wellness services, social services, overseeing case management or housing programs, or a related field required.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
This position requires the following certifications, licenses, and/or registrations:
Licensure or certification in social work, case management, or a wellness-related field preferred.
Valid, unrestricted California driver’s license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required.
Other Qualifications
Ability to work flexible hours, as required, including weekends and holidays.
Salary : $72,800 - $79,040
