Who We Are
The Contracts Department is responsible for leading 'cradle-to-grave' contract review, negotiation, and administration activities supporting SwRI's technical divisions.
Objectives Of This Role
- Support SwRI by serving as a Credit Specialist in the Contracts Department.
- Analyze credit reports, references, and financial information to determine credit worthiness and credit limits for new and existing customers to a predetermined level of authority.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding credit decisions on a daily basis in a fast paced and high transaction volume environment, to include the preparation of proposed payment terms and preliminary invoices.
- Collaborate with contractual and technical staff to develop and maintain relationships with key customers.
- Working knowledge of credit processes and procedures, experience with making intermediate large-dollar credit decisions, and using credit reports including the knowledge and ability to analyze financial statements is required.
- Experience in contract negotiations is required.
- Strong communication skills as well as being able to multi-task deadline driven requests are required.
- Working knowledge of bond and letter of credit protocols and administration is preferred.
- Intermediate/working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required as well as experience working with PDF documents.
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- 2-10 years: Commercial credit/collections experience.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
