Who We Are:
The Contracts Department is responsible for leading 'cradle-to-grave' contract review, negotiation, and administration activities supporting SwRI's technical divisions.
Objectives of this Role:
- Support SwRI by serving as a Credit Specialist in the Contracts Department.
- Make intermediate/large-dollar credit decisions and participate in contract negotiations.
- Exercise discretion, independent judgment, diligence, and attention to detail.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Analyze credit reports, internal references, and financial information to determine credit worthiness and credit limits for new and existing customers; to include the preparation of proposed payment terms and pro forma invoices.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding credit decisions on a daily basis in a fast paced and high transaction volume environment.
- Multi-task deadline driven requests.
- Collaborate with contractual and technical staff to develop and maintain relationships with key customers.
- Develop a working knowledge of Contract Department and Credit Group processes.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- 0-6 years: General office operations experience required. Commercial credit/collections experience a plus,
- 0-6 years: Intermediate/working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required as well as experience working with PDF documents.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
