Data Analyst – Recruiting & People Operations
Location: Hybrid – Seattle or San Francisco
Schedule: 3 days onsite per week
Contract: through December 18, 2026
About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a fast-paced People Operations and Recruiting organization during a temporary leave of absence. This role will own critical hiring and onboarding data, maintain complex spreadsheet models, reconcile information across systems, and translate data into clear reporting for senior leadership.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, exceptionally organized, and comfortable working with complex and sometimes inconsistent data. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for data-related questions across regional and functional stakeholders while ensuring reporting remains accurate, timely, and easy to understand.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and maintain core hiring data: Own global hiring and demand tracking workbooks, troubleshoot data issues, and build advanced formulas and processes to automate recurring updates.
- Reconcile data across systems: Execute routine data exports and transfers between Tableau, Workday, and internal tracking systems while identifying and resolving data discrepancies across regions.
- Build executive reporting: Maintain recurring demand and hiring reports and translate refreshed data models into Tableau dashboards for Recruiting and Program leadership.
- Support program evaluations: Gather information from multiple data sources and create clear, digestible dashboards and reporting to support end-of-program evaluations and business reviews.
- Track onboarding data: Maintain centralized operational data to support onboarding for new hires and ensure key information is accurate and up to date.
- Support data governance: Track and document changes to important hiring information, including start dates and hiring managers, while maintaining visibility into when and by whom changes were made.
- Partner cross-functionally: Communicate data updates, discrepancies, and insights clearly to stakeholders across regions and functions.
- Support ad hoc reporting needs: Provide timely analysis and reporting for evolving business and program needs.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business operations, people analytics, recruiting operations, HR operations, or a related field
- Strong proficiency with Tableau
- Expert-level Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including advanced formulas and complex workbook architecture
- Familiarity with Workday data structures
- Experience reconciling data across multiple systems or inconsistent source datasets
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain data accuracy
- Experience serving as a point of contact for multiple regional or cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey/evaluation platforms
- Experience creating executive-level reporting and dashboards
- Previous experience in Recruiting Operations, HR Operations, People Analytics, or People Programs
- Experience working with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, or workforce planning data
