Job Summary
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning, developing, and supporting production processes within a casting environment. The role focuses on ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining quality standards, optimizing costs, and supporting production teams to meet delivery and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production plans for casting operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability of cast components.
- Define and optimize process flows, tooling requirements, and detailed work instructions for casting production.
- Monitor and analyze production performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for production issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Support capacity planning and forecasting for both new and existing programs.
- Provide technical support during new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within a casting or foundry environment.
- Strong understanding of casting processes, production planning, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools, ERP systems, and production planning software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with metal casting technologies such as sand casting, investment casting, or similar processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain integration and material flow within manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with quality and process improvement tools such as FMEA, SPC, and PPAP.
