This is a one and done video interview process and we are looking for someone to start immediately
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support sustaining engineering activities for our Valparaiso, IN facility. This position plays a key role in executing smaller engineering tasks, managing engineering changes, maintaining CAD data, and assisting in test and validation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ongoing sustaining engineering projects by updating drawings, models, and documentation in SolidWorks.
- Execute and document engineering change orders (ECOs/ECNs) and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Perform testing and validation on components and assemblies as directed by engineering.
- Interpret and update engineering prints and schematics in accordance with GD&T practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement product improvements and resolve production issues.
- Ensure all CAD data, documentation, and change records meet company and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting product reliability and manufacturability.
- Communicate progress, findings, and issues clearly to the engineering team.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in an engineering support, CAD, or technician role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (required).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience with GD&T, BOM management, and engineering change notifications (ECNs).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or related technical discipline preferred, but not required.
- Hands-on experience in testing and validation is a plus.
