This role owns and executes medium-to-large scale improvement efforts aligned to enterprise priorities, driving measurable impact through problem-solving (A3, DMAIC, etc.), value stream improvements, and deployment of flow/pull systems.
The OpEx Specialist II partners directly with line leadership to improve performance, remove systemic barriers, and build sustainable capability aligned to the enterprise execution system.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead Problem Solving & Deliver Measurable Results
- Lead cross-functional A3 and DMAIC problem-solving efforts on prioritized SQDCP issues, ensuring clear problem definition, validated root cause, and verified countermeasures
- Own and deliver measurable improvement through multiple concurrent problem-solving projects tied directly to enterprise KPIs (OTD, CoQ, Lead Time, Safety, Competency, etc.)
- Analyze operational data (lead time, throughput, OTD, CoQ, etc.) to identify systemic issues and drive fact-based decisions
- Ensure sustainment through standard work, control plans, and visual management where applicable
- Lead deployment and stabilization of flow/pull systems, including model line initiatives, WIP control, FIFO, and visual scheduling
- Identify and remove constraints and flow disruptions across engineering, supply chain, fabrication, and assembly
- Drive implementation of standard work, WIP limits, and visual controls to improve throughput, stability, and lead time
- Support value stream mapping and future state design aligned to enterprise priorities
- Execute and sustain Daily Management System (DMS) elements, including KPI tracking, visual boards, and tier meeting readiness to ensure performance visibility and escalation discipline
- Maintain data integrity and identify abnormalities, escalating issues through proper channels to enable timely problem resolution
- Build foundational OpEx capability through coaching, adherence to standard methods, and participation in audits to ensure alignment with ISO9001 and enterprise standards
Required
- Strong understanding of Lean principles (flow, pull, standard work, waste elimination, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience leading A3 or DMAIC problem-solving efforts
- Ability to analyze operational data and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Strong facilitation and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Ability to influence without authority and drive accountability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
- I Experience implementing flow/pull systems (kanban, FIFO, WIP control, etc.)
- Exposure to Value Stream Mapping and future state design
- Familiarity with ISO9001 or structured quality systems
- Experience with data analysis tools (EXCEL, Minitab, Power BI, etc.)
- Background in manufacturing or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field preferred
- 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement
- Demonstrated success leading improvement initiatives with measurable business impact
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
