The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer supports the Quality Management System (QMS), supplier quality, inspections, and corrective action processes. Working under the direction of the QA Manager, this role leads day-to-day quality activities, provides guidance to QA inspectors, and drives continuous improvement to enhance product quality and reduce waste.

Quality Systems & Customer Quality
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), including audits and quality problem-solving tools
- Support customer complaint and warranty investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective action
- Maintain quality metrics and dashboards to monitor trends and report performance
- Lead and coordinate supplier, receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities
- Support supplier quality performance and qualification in partnership with sourcing
- Provide day-to-day direction and oversight to QA inspectors, inspection activities, and production teams
- Lead corrective action, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive efforts to reduce scrap, rework, and nonconformances/supply defects
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes
Required
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with PDM, MRP, or ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Ability to hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications
- Skilled in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to develop and document procedures
- Strong knowledge of complex electro-mechanical systems and technical documentation
- Familiarity with AWS/ASME welding specifications
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering drawings, models, and relevant standards
