Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:

As the Traffic Coordinator you will serve as point of contact for transportation-related questions from internal and external customers, carriers and brokers, Customs and other government agencies. This role will frequently revolve around handling communications and documents for claims/loss needs and import/export details, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

Transportation & Logistics Coordination

• Primary contact for transportation-related questions from internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate shipping/distribution activities with domestic and international logistics partners.
• Manage transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Support shipping activities during peak periods, urgent matters/special project requirements.

Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations.
• Support hazardous materials shipping requirements, maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
• Monitor adherence to transportation and trade regulations, including DOT, IATA, and customs requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines and shipping standards.

Process Improvement & Documentation

• Identify opportunities to improve shipping and distribution processes.
• Develop, document, and maintain transportation procedures and best practices.
• Support quality management initiatives and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency.

Claims & Carrier Management

• Manage claims related to shipment loss or damage with carriers and insurance providers.
• Coordinate with parcel carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to resolve shipping issues.
• Assist with carrier performance monitoring and transportation-related problem resolution.
