Part-Time Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Work Hours: Must be available to work East Coast business hours

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist to support reporting, data analysis, and business process automation initiatives. This part-time remote position plays a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights while supporting the integration and automation of multiple business systems.

The ideal candidate is an expert in Excel and Power BI, has experience building executive dashboards and KPI reporting, and enjoys solving complex data challenges. This position requires someone who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, analyze, and interpret large volumes of raw data.
• Compare historical data across months and years to identify trends and insights.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, charts, graphs, formulas, and visualizations.
• Develop, test, and implement automated reporting and business process improvements.
• Support the integration and automation of multiple business systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models and reporting solutions that support business objectives.
• Gather business requirements and manage reporting projects from initial request through deployment and ongoing support.
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and stability across reporting environments.
• Monitor reporting schedules and distribution processes.
• Manage report inventories and documentation.
• Run data validation queries to identify inactive, obsolete, or inconsistent records.
• Monitor shared email inboxes and distribute work as needed.
• Provide first-level technical support for reporting systems and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions.
• Prioritize multiple projects and communicate progress proactively.
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, and data analysis.
• Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation and KPI reporting.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated reporting solutions.
• Experience creating business dashboards and data visualizations.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and reporting best practices.
• Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying meaningful trends.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Availability to work East Coast business hours.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience supporting business system integrations.
• Experience with platforms such as eHealth, Quickbase, or eMeet (or similar business systems).
• Experience working with reporting databases, CSV/TXT files, and data validation.
• 2-4 years of experience in reporting, documentation, records maintenance, business intelligence, or data analysis.
