Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver or Class B to join our transportation team. The Driver will be driving the company sweeper Truck, must pass a DOT Physical, drug Test and have a valid CDL or class B.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations.
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents and respond quickly to traffic changes or unexpected situations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records of trips, incidents, and vehicle maintenance logs in writing along with logging the gas card info.
- Log your daily time sheet accurately describing where you sweep and the time frame you were at the location.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving and passenger transport.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency response procedures for transportation.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to perform quick responses to traffic changes and emergency stop procedures confidently.
- Mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and troubleshooting is desirable.
- Pass DOT Physical, drug test and background checks (do accept some things on background if discussed with owner prior to being hired)
