What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic/Accessories Installation Technician position at The Driver's Depot?
The Driver's Depot is searching for a Mechanic/Accessories Installation Technician.
Ideal candidates must have a good knowledge of automotive parts and accessories and be customer service oriented and the ideal candidate must be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision. This position is a full time position that reports directly to the General Manager. Typical business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and alternating Saturdays 9 AM to 1 PM. This position requires general automotive assembly knowledge, the ability to multitask and fill in where needed. The Mechanic/Accessories Installation Technician must be dependable, trustworthy and have a positive attitude.
Mechanic/Accessories Installation Technician Duties:
- Install various accessories per manufacturer’s instructions.
- Perform customer mandated vehicle upfits as specified.
- Maintain orderly work area.
- Assist on spray-in bedliner when not installing accessories.
- Other duties as assigned
Mechanic/Accessories Installation Technician Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED. Automotive trade school experience extremely helpful.
- Personal set of tools.
- Mig welding and tire mounting/balancing experience helpful.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrate care for customer vehicles to take proper precautions.
- Teamwork is a must.
- Must be self-motivated and take pride in their work.
- Must pass background check, drug check and have a valid drivers license.
- Authorized to work in the United States
