What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Swartz Creek Community Schools?
Report to Team Lead/Custodian Supervisor
Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for the facility
Dusting, Vacuuming, Sweeping/Mopping
Operate floor equipment such as the Auto Scrubber, side by side, Carpet extractor, and vacuum
Empty trash receptacles
General cleaning of furniture, windows, window sill,s and walls
Stocking restrooms, the janitorial closet, and the breakroom
Setting up and cleaning after events
Light building maintenance
General snow removal/Lawn care as needed
Arm alarm/Check all outer doors to make sure secure
Help cover areas when short staffed
Computer knowledge
Position requirements:
1 year of custodial/Janitorial experience
Must pass a drug test and a physical
Ability to stand for long periods of time/Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Salary : $16 - $18
