Swagelok Louisiana is seeking a CAD Designer to support the design and documentation of fluid system assemblies and engineered solutions for customers in the oil & gas, refining, chemical, power, and industrial markets.
This role is ideal for someone with strong SolidWorks skills, good mechanical aptitude, and an interest in working closely with engineers, fabrication teams, and customers on custom technical solutions.
You’ll join a collaborative Engineering & Services team where your work will directly support real-world customer applications and manufacturing projects.

What You’ll Do
• Develop 2D and 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
• Create production-ready drawings, layouts, sections, dimensions, and bills of material (BOMs)
• Interpret P&IDs, specifications, customer requirements, and general arrangement drawings
• Modify and update drawings based on internal and customer feedback
• Work closely with Application Engineers, sales, operations, and fabrication teams to support project execution
• Assist with drawing reviews and maintain documentation/revision control processes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and department standards
What We’re Looking For
• Approximately 2 years of CAD design or drafting experience
• SolidWorks experience strongly preferred
• Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, drafting, or related field preferred
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical layouts
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or engineered systems environments preferred
• Familiarity with fluid systems, instrumentation, or mechanical assemblies is a plus
