Maintenance Technician – Tool & Die – 3rd Shift

3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Sign-On Bonus: $3,500
First half payable upon starting, second half payable after completion of 6 months.
A longstanding, family-owned manufacturing company in the Madison area is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician – Tool & Die to join their team. This organization is known for high-quality products, strong craftsmanship, and a commitment to innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining tooling and press equipment

Sharpen and manufacture shim sets for punches and dies

Develop fixtures for Assembly and Quality

Work closely with Tooling Engineers and Toolmakers to develop skills in maintaining dies and fixtures
This position requires a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and background check following a conditional job offer. A negative result is required for employment. Testing will be conducted in accordance with federal and state laws.
Qualifications
Education
Technical or trade school training preferred
Required Experience and Skills

Knowledge of draw dies, progressive dies, and blanking dies

Experience or training in Hazard Communication, Material Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout

Familiarity with CNC mills, surface grinders, and machining methods

Proficiency in Windows-based Microsoft Office

Ability to pass a written maintenance examination with a score above 70 percent

Willingness to complete required coursework in the field
Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of drawings created with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, DWG, or similar software

Minimum of two years related machine shop experience or completion of a related trade school program

Experience in fabrication, punch press, press brakes, welding, and sheet metal

Union experience is helpful but not required

MATC coursework or equivalent education
