Inventory & Support Clerk- A & B Shift

Job Title: Inventory and Support Clerk 

Location: North Platte, Nebraska

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Inventory & Support Clerks to join our team at Sustainable Beef. In this role, you will help manage the inventory process from receipt to distribution, as well as assist in support services essential to plant operations. This includes storeroom responsibilities and, for one team member, oversight of sanitation and laundering of equipment used in the inventory area.

The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean and efficient work area.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Duties (for all roles):

• Receive inventory from vendors and enter data into software systems.

• Physically stock and organize parts and materials in designated bin locations.

• Issue and receive materials to and from plant staff.

• Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory records.

• Work with Accounts Payable and Purchasing to resolve order discrepancies.

• File bill of ladings and packing slips.

• Manage returns and damaged goods.

• Maintain accurate bin location data and inventory tracking.

• Support inventory projects and process improvements.

Support Duties (for Laundry Clerk role):

• Sanitize, launder, and maintain cleanliness of tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and uniforms used in the storeroom area.

• Operate industrial washing equipment and follow sanitation protocols.

• Track and document laundering activities to ensure compliance with company hygiene standards.

• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the storeroom and support areas.

• Perform other assigned housekeeping or support tasks to assist the inventory team.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, squatting, and crouching for extended periods.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Participate in training programs to improve skills.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
