We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and modern techniques.
- Ensure the highest quality of ingredients are used, maintaining freshness and flavor in all dishes.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new sushi offerings.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management for ordering supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques related to sushi preparation.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and dietary requirements is essential.
- Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
