Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences by delivering high-quality service, assisting customers with menu selections, and ensuring that all needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through cash registers or POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Assist with food handling and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns or special requests.
- Provide assistance to guests as needed, ensuring their experience is enjoyable from start to finish.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food service industry.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Strong culinary knowledge to effectively communicate menu items and ingredients.
- Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail when processing transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and assisting guests as needed.
- Must possess valid food handling certification as required by local health regulations.
